Applewood Farm's MTC S-24 Iron Horse


The Grand Scale Division of the Joshua Tree & Southern (15”, 7.5”, Joshua Tree, CA) recently dedicated “Jack’s Gap Bridge”, named after the late Jack Sessums. The bridge now allows trains to cross the wash and allow for the mainline to be laid into the hills opposite the yard and roundhouse. John Ray brought his 15" speeder to our last Grand Scales Convention.


Mountaineer, the 0-4-0 formerly from the defunct Bush Mills Railway (15”, Tasmania) has moved 10,800 miles to the Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway (15”, Cleethorpes, Lincoln, UK).

The late George Barlow is a man known to countless Grand Scale enthusiasts on at least four continents. He worked on the Romney Hythe & Dymchurch (15”, New Romney, Kent, UK) from 1947 to 1980 and was Operating Manager for the last twelve of those years.
